ResPower Respiratory Neuromuscular Stimulator is an automated biphasic respiratory neuromuscular electrical stimulation device. Through six pairs of electrodes, it stimulates the diaphragm (via phrenic nerves) and abdominal muscles in synchrony with inhalation and exhalation, which is intended to gradually increase respiratory muscle strength, mobility, endurance and fatigue resistance, activate weakened respiratory muscles, prevent respiratory muscle dysfunction, weakness and atrophy; further increase lung capacity and volume, remove excess CO2 from the lungs, relieve difficulty breathing, improve cough efficiency and airway clearance; furthermore, increase walking distance, reduce patient anxiety and depression, improve patient quality of life.
